Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Jacksonville, TX seeks a Per Diem Endoscopy Technician to support the operating room endoscopy service. You will assist in coordinating patient care, prepare, maintain, and clean endoscopy equipment, and help in performing procedures as needed.

The role requires rotating shifts and on-call availability, strong sterile technique, and knowledge of endoscopy instruments and sterilization. Prior OR or GI tech experience is preferred, with BLS certification required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• BLS required.
• GI certification from SGNA Associates preferred.
• Previous experience working in the Operating Room or Endoscopy Unit preferred.
• GI Tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meets expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.
• Provides various service related activities to the delivery of direct and assistive patient care in the endoscopy service of the operating room prior to and during any endoscopic procedure.
• Required to rotate shifts and accept on-call assignments.
• Adept at establishing and maintaining sterile fields, ability to pull cases, capable in assisting for endoscopy procedures.
• Knowledge of sterilization concepts and methods, aseptic techniques and endoscopy instruments.
