Job summary

Baptist Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join the Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This full-time days position runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm with on-call requirements.

You will assist during procedures, maintain sterile fields, hand instruments to surgeons, and support patient safety. A high school diploma and BLS are required. Call is required and may qualify for call differentials.

Baptist Health is looking for an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a Full-time Days position, 40 hours per week Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm with one set day off. This position requires call and qualifies for competitive call differentials.

As a surgical technologist in this role, you will work as part of the surgical services teams in the Endoscopy unit. The individual will assist the team during procedures, ensure a sterile environment, hand instruments to surgeons during procedures, and maintain patient safety. Throughout the day, precision, attention to detail, and teamwork are paramount in providing quality patient care.

As a Surgical Technologist for the Endoscopy unit, your responsibilities and qualifications will include:

• Assembling, organizing and maintaining a sterile field for operative procedures
• Anticipates the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case and prepare accordingly
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments
• Works with entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety
• Call is required for this position.

Experience Requirements

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience
• Less than 1 year Endoscopy Technologist Experience Required

Education & Credential Requirements

• High School Diploma Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Required

This Surgical Technologist, Endoscopy position will be located at Baptist Medical Center South.
