Job summary

Baptist Health seeks an experienced Surgical Technologist to support our Endoscopy Team at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. This PRN Days position requires 40 hours per week and call differentiators.

You will assist during procedures, maintain a sterile field and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced surgical setting. Responsibilities include prepping instruments, anticipating surgeon needs, and coordinating with the team to minimize anesthesia time.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program preferred NBSTA or NCCT, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures in the Endoscopy unit.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and progression of the case; prepare accordingly.
• Proper disposition of specimens and instruments between cases.
• Work with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Call is required for this position.
