Job summary

Carle Health in Urbana, IL is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the Digestive Health Center and endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, instrument setup, reprocessing endoscopes, and serve as a resource for department equipment.

Multiple shift options (8/9/10 hours) are available; sign-on and relocation bonuses are offered. The role emphasizes infection control, teamwork, and perioperative patient care.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or certificate in Surgical Technology.
• CER certification within 18 months (HSPA).
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Excellent communication, hand-eye coordination, infection control knowledge.
• Independently scrubs basic surgical procedures and supports perioperative care.

Responsibilities

• Assists in organization and coordination of supplies and equipment.
• Collects data on assigned patients as directed by the RN.
• Performs accurate documentation in patient records.
• Maintains asepsis and sterile environment.
• Communicates effectively with team members and patients and families.
• Assists providers with procedures and treatments.
• Cleans and sterilizes instruments per policy.
• Cleans and stocks exam and procedure rooms.
• Obtains specimens and transports per hospital policy.
• Reprocesses endoscopes and supports equipment.
• Assists with inventory and restocking of supplies.
