Job summary

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Certificate of Completion in Surgical Technology and a College Diploma in Surgical Technology are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for surgeon-specific operative procedures with timely, accurate and efficient setup.
• Assemble and verify instruments, equipment and sutures are complete and functional.
• Set up sterile fields and scrub before the patient enters the room; maintain organized back table and mayo stands.
• Collaborate with the surgeon to anticipate needs and adapt to case requirements.
• Mentor and precept surgical techs and RNs; participate in case turnover and post-op activities.
