Carle Health in Urbana, IL seeks a Surgical Technologist to support the Digestive Health Center and endoscopy team. You will assist with patient care, obtain specimens, assist physicians with instruments, and reprocess endoscopes between cases.

Multiple shifts are available, including 8-, 9-, and 10-hour options. Requires Surgical Technology education, CER within 18 months, and BLS within 30 days. A strong focus on sterile technique and teamwork is essential.

Formación

• Strong infection control knowledge and aseptic technique.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with the surgical team.
• Ability to scrub basic procedures and apply perioperative knowledge.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in organizing supplies and equipment for efficiency and cost control.
• Document data on assigned patients and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain sterile environment and separation of clean/dirty areas.
• Assist providers with procedures and instrument handling.
• Reprocess endoscopes and assist with room prep and cleanup.
• Obtain specimens and transport per hospital policy.
• Inventory and restock department supplies.

Educación

Associate's Degree

Certificate of Completion — Surgical Technology

CER (Endoscope Reprocessor) - within 18 months

BLS Certification (AHA) within 30 days
