Job summary

Regional SurgiCenter in Illinois is seeking a full-time Endoscopy Technologist to join our GI care team. You will render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures, working closely with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality outcomes.

The role emphasizes preparation and maintenance of GI equipment, patient assessment prior to procedures, and a cooperative, patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Mechanical/manual dexterity to handle instruments quickly.
• Must be conscientious, organized and able to handle the stress of a busy operating room & GI lab environment.
• Must be able to function as a team player.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Must be able to communicate in English, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Render professional care to patients undergoing GI and PAIN management procedures.
• Cooperate with physicians and staff, demonstrating teamwork.
• Prepare equipment and anticipate physician and patient needs for GI procedures.
• Maintain the clinical area and equipment, ensuring readiness and sanitation.
• Assess patients prior to procedures and prepare/maintain equipment and supplies in the GI area.
• Clean and maintain equipment per Center policy.
