Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Scheduler for the Endoscopy site to coordinate and schedule procedures and serve as the main contact for patients and staff. This position requires strong communication, attention to detail and ability to navigate scheduling protocols.

Responsibilities include coordinating procedure dates, verifying information, providing prep instructions and ensuring necessary documentation is obtained prior to scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program is required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days.
• Must obtain CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA or NRCMA within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Schedule endoscopic procedures (colonoscopies, EGDs) and other services, coordinating dates and locations.
• Serve as primary contact for patients, referring providers and staff.
• Verify patient information and ensure all pre-procedure preparations and documentation are completed.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and admin teams to maintain scheduling accuracy and workflow efficiency.
