Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state nursing licensure in good standing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or BCLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop an individualized perioperative patient plan of care.
• Protect the patient from injury from objects and sources.
• Operate equipment safely and report unsafe situations.
• Communicate the patient’s status to the care team.
• Maintain endoscopy instruments and ensure aseptic technique.
• Administer medications using the eight rights of administration.
• Provide patient education and involve family in care decisions.
