Job summary

FMOL Health in Lafayette, LA seeks a Registered Nurse to provide holistic, safe therapeutic care within licensure scope. The RN will integrate knowledge to educate patients and families across the care continuum and rely on continuous education to meet responsibilities.

The role requires Louisiana RN licensure, BLS, and completion of ACLS/PALS, CPI, and NIH Stroke Scale within specified timeframes. English proficiency and computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Proficient in English language, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills.
• Current Louisiana State license as RN and BLS certification; ACLS and PALS Certification within first 6 months of hire; CPI and NIH Stroke Scale Certification within first year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Practice and Care Management
• Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrate changing data
• Formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients, including patient education and discharge planning. Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs, including cultural/ethical/spiritual needs.
• Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (treatment options, patient placement options, end of life options).
• Responds to changes in patient's needs and provides holistic care using independent clinical judgment based on knowledge from education and experience.
• Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content.
• Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care: determines immediate priorities and offers solutions.
