Endoscopy RN: GI Care Specialist

Job summary

United Digestive is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide individualized and specialized nursing care within our endoscopy center, following physicians' orders and established policies. The RN will plan, execute and evaluate care and interact with the patient at each stage of the experience.

Georgia license is required with BLS in place; GI endoscopy experience is preferred, and some travel to sister centers may be required; ACLS is optional but recommended.

Qualifications

• Current State license to practice as an RN.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience in GI endoscopy preferred.
• Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged.
• Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• ACLS certification is recommended, but optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center.
• Plan, execute and evaluate the nursing care given to patients.
• Interact with patients in every phase of their experience.
• Must be self-directed and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Travel to a sister center may be required.
