Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients within the endoscopy center in accordance with physicians orders, recognized nursing techniques, and Georgia state nurse practice rules. The RN plans, executes and evaluates care and may travel to sister centers.

Qualifications include current Georgia RN license, graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BLS; GI endoscopy experience preferred; ACLS recommended; Airway Management Module completion

Qualifications

• Current State license to practice as an RN.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• GI endoscopy experience preferred.
• Membership in GI specialty societies encouraged.
• Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
• ACLS certification recommended but optional.
• Airway Management Module completion required prior to IV conscious sedation.
• Score of 100% on conscious sedation module post-test.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and specialized nursing care in the endoscopy center.
• Plan, execute and evaluate patient care with physician orders.
• Interact with patients through all phases of their experience.
• Travel to a sister center if required and work independently as needed.
