Job summary
Mountain View Hospital is seeking an Endoscopy Licensed Practical Nurse/Registered Nurse to join our team in Idaho Falls. You will care for patients undergoing endoscopic and ophthalmic procedures, manage IVs and pre-procedure medications, and provide recovery care and discharge planning.
The role requires Idaho LPN/RN licensure, BLS/ACLS/PALS certification, and prior endoscopic/perioperative experience is preferred. Strong communication in English is essential for patient education and teamwork.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Idaho LPN or RN licensure.
- BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
- Endoscopic/perioperative experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for endoscopy/ophthalmic patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Start and monitor IVs; administer pre-procedure medications.
- Provide pre/post procedure instructions and patient rights information.
- Monitor vital signs and manage pain during recovery and after discharge.
- Educate patient and family; ensure safe discharge to a responsible driver; collaborate with team.
