Job summary

Mountain View Hospital, Idaho Falls, ID, is seeking an Endoscopy Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care for endoscopic and ophthalmic procedures. The role includes IV starts, pre-procedure medications, and detailed patient education.

Responsibilities include monitoring vitals during recovery, managing post-sedation care, and ensuring safe discharge to home.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current LPN or RN license in Idaho.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification required.
• Endoscopy or perioperative experience preferred.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Basic math skills for dosage calculations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure.
• Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic and ophthalmic procedures.
• Start and monitor IVs; administer pre-procedure medications.
• Perform pre-procedure instruction and explain patient rights and procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and provide post-procedure care and pain management.
• Educate patient and family; ensure safe discharge to home.
• Collaborate cooperatively with colleagues and supervisors at all times.
