Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of direct nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Set up appropriate equipment for procedures and ensure supplies are available.
• Assist physician with procedure and collect, prepare and label specimens.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide instructions to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Take and record vital signs and apply monitoring devices as needed.
• Document findings and care on forms/computer per policy.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards and uphold departmental procedures.
• Provide back-up support for area including scope room and office area.
• Other duties as assigned.
