Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Endocrinology department. The APP will see general endocrine and diabetes patients, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts, and no weekends or holidays.

The role entails collaborating with physicians, mentoring staff, and participating in quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes. The position emphasizes patient-first care, teaching, and professional credentialing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited program in nursing or PA (required).
• Current Illinois license as RN and APRN or PA license as applicable.
• Privileged and credentialed through Northwestern Medicine MSO.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive health appraisals and physical examinations.
• Provide direct clinical care to patients.
• Prescribe medications and order labs/imaging per privileges.
• Educate patients and families about conditions and care.
• Document all care and procedures in the medical record.
• Refer to other disciplines when appropriate.
• Collaborate with other health professionals in decision making.
• Participate in quality improvement or research initiatives.
