Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Endocrinology team in Dover, NH is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support providers and patients in a busy specialty setting. You will room patients, collect vital signs, document updates, and aid in patient education and care coordination.

This hybrid role offers collaboration with physicians and nurses, focusing on quality care, privacy, and efficient patient flow during daily clinic operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• 1-2 years of direct Medical Assistant experience or medical field work required.
• Basic Life Support certification preferred; National Medical Assistant Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, prepare exam rooms and equipment, and support efficient patient flow.
• Obtain and document medical information, including vital signs, height, weight, and updates to the medical record.
• Assist with patient education by reinforcing treatment plans, medications, diets, and provider instructions.
• Support clinical workflows, including specimen collection and preparation for testing; perform phlebotomy if competency is demonstrated.
• Administer immunizations as applicable, in accordance with certification, experience, and supervision requirements.
• Maintain immunization inventory and monitor expiration dates.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other team members to support high-quality patient care.
• Assist with general office responsibilities such as phones, documentation, insurance forms, and coordination with other departments.
• Act as a positive patient advocate and provide excellent customer service throughout the care experience.
