Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Lead Medical Assistant to join the Endocrinology team in Weymouth. The role combines hands-on patient care with oversight, mentoring, and daily coordination under the Practice Manager.

You will work with providers and site teams to promote efficient operations, strong communication, and an exceptional patient experience. Schedule: 7:30 AM–5:30 PM, onsite at 541 Main St.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of Medical Assistant experience with clinical and admin duties.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, HIPAA and privacy regulations.
• Ability to take vital signs, blood pressure, collect specimens, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Experience with electronic health record systems and medical office software.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to the Medical Assistant team.
• Support clinical operations by coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely, efficient care.
• Assist with patient intake, medical history, vitals, and examinations preparation.
• Assign tasks to team members to balance workload and resources.
• Serve as liaison between clinical staff, Practice Manager, and providers.
• Participate in new clinical initiatives, quality programs, onboarding, and precepting.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on patient care.
