Boston Medical Center's Endocrinology team is seeking a Medical Assistant / Patient Service Specialist for full-time hours. You will room patients, take vital signs, enter data into EMR, obtain consents and assist with in-office testing while supporting providers and staff.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of medical assistant or medical secretary experience, excellent communication and customer service skills, and familiarity with EMR systems (Epic preferred).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Education from approved medical assistant/medical secretary program or equivalent preferred.
• One to three years as a medical assistant or medical secretary preferred.
• Experience with EMR strongly preferred (Epic a plus).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.
• Strong customer service and excellent communication skills expected.

Responsabilités

• Room patients and prepare for provider visits.
• Take vital signs and record results in EMR.
• Record patient history, prescriptions, and demographics.
• Obtain consents and complete forms for visits.
• Register patients and verify insurance information.
• Schedule appointments and testing as directed.
• Assist with in-office testing as needed.
