Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Lead Medical Assistant to join the Endocrinology team in Weymouth. This leadership role blends hands-on patient care with training, mentoring, and daily coordination of the Medical Assistant staff, under the Practice Manager. You will promote efficient operations and an exceptional patient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• 3–5 years Medical Assistant experience required including clinical and administrative tasks.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and team management skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, HIPAA and privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to the Medical Assistant team.
• Support clinical operations by coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely care.
• Assist with patient intake: history, vitals, exam prep, and office-based procedures.
• Assign tasks to team members to optimize workload and resources.
• Serve as liaison between clinical staff, Practice Manager, and providers.
• Participate in onboarding, interviews, and precepting of new hires or students.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on patient care.
