Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a Lead Medical Assistant for the Endocrinology team in Weymouth. This leadership role combines hands-on patient care with mentoring and staff coordination to enhance workflows and clinical operations.

You will work closely with providers and site leadership to promote efficient patient care, strong communication, and an exceptional patient experience at 541 Main Street. Hours are typically 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Medical Assistant.
• 3-5 years Medical Assistant experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and team management skills.
• Experience with electronic health record systems and medical office software.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and privacy regulations.
• Ability to take vital signs and assist in examinations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, training, mentoring, and day-to-day guidance to the Medical Assistant team.
• Coordinate patient flow and ensure timely, efficient care delivery.
• Assist with patient intake, history, vital signs, and preparing patients for examinations.
• Allocate tasks to team members to optimize workload and resources.
• Act as liaison between clinical staff, Practice Manager, and providers.
• Participate in new clinical initiatives, quality programs, onboarding, and precepting of new hires or students.
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on patient care.
