Job summary

Endeavor Health is hiring a GI Tech for Evanston, IL, in a full-time daytime schedule with on-call and weekend rotations. The role involves assisting the RN and physician during procedures, prep work, and instrument processing.

A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates. Candidate should have experience as a Patient Care Tech or Nursing/Medical Assistant, CPR-BLS certification, and basic physiology knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
• CPR BLS issued by the American Heart Association.
• Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology required.
• Basic computer experience.
• Ability to take vitals and perform CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.
• Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.
• Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department.
• The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

• Sign-On Bonus: $1K With 1 yr GI Tech exp
• Position: GI Tech
• Location: Evanston, IL
• Full Time
• Hours: 6:30am to 5:30pm M-F - Occasional Sat rotation - On Call Rotation (including nights/wkends)
