Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a GI Tech in Evanston, IL. This full-time position operates from 6:30am to 5:30pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturday rotations and on-call duties that include nights and weekends.

The role supports the RN and physician in GI procedures, handles equipment setup, and ensures proper care delivery. A background as a Patient Care Tech or Nursing/Medical Assistant is preferred, with CPR/BLS certification, basic physiology knowledge, and vitals-taking ability.

Qualifications

• Experience as Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of physiology, anatomy & medical terminology; basic computer experience; ability to take vitals and perform CPR.

Responsibilities

• Assist under the direction of the RN in the established plan of care.
• Assist physician and RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Respond to emergency situations.
• Responsible for procedure setup, supply and equipment maintenance, and processing/reprocessing of endoscopes.
• Meet on-call criteria and float to other GI Lab locations as needed.

Hourly Pay Range:

$20.69 - $30.00 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Location: Evanston, IL

• Full Time

• Hours:6:30am to 5:30pm M-F - Occasional Sat rotation- On Call Rotation (including nights/wkends)

What you will do:

• Assist under the direction of the RN, in the implementation of the established plan of care.

• Assist the physician and the RN during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

• Respond to emergency situations.

• Responsible for procedure set-up, supply and equipment maintenance, processing and reprocessing of endoscopes and other duties as assigned.

• Responsible for meeting on-call criteria as defined by the department. The employee is expected to float to other GI Lab locations.

What you will need:

• Education:

  • Experience as a Patient Care Tech, Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant highly preferred

• Certification:

• Experience:
