Job summary

Shield AI, based in Wichita, KS, seeks an Associate Systems Administrator to provide daily IT end-user support and systems administration across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You’ll manage devices, assist executives, and help maintain secure enterprise IT operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key duties include AD/Azure AD administration, endpoint management, asset lifecycle, and documentation. This role offers full-time employment with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of enterprise desktop support or junior sysadmin experience.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS; Linux a plus.
• Basic experience administering AD/Azure AD or similar identity platforms.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN.
• Familiarity with endpoint management tools like Intune, JAMF, or similar.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a customer-first mindset.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service while supporting employees across multiple locations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for endpoint and user systems across Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals for end users.
• Support conference rooms, collaboration, and meeting tech for executive events and reviews.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access via AD and Azure AD per security requirements.
• Support endpoint management and security controls to maintain a secure computing environment.
• Perform local IT asset lifecycle activities including provisioning, deployment, inventory, and decommissioning.
• Maintain asset records and software licensing using ITSM and asset tools.
• Respond to and resolve service requests and incidents, escalating complex issues as needed.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base content.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams for coordinated IT ops.
• Participate in planned maintenance and occasional after-hours/on-call work.
