Job summary

Shield AI seeks an Associate Systems Administrator to provide enterprise IT support across Windows, macOS, and Linux. You will help maintain secure, reliable infrastructure, assist executive users, and collaborate with security teams in a fast-paced environment from our Overland Park, KS office.

The candidate should have 1–3 years of desktop support, familiarity with AD/Azure AD, Intune/JAMF, and strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in enterprise desktop support or junior systems administration.
• Experience supporting Windows and macOS; some Linux exposure is a plus.
• Basic AD/Entra ID (Azure AD) management experience.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN connectivity.
• Familiarity with Intune, JAMF or similar endpoint management tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer-service skills.
• BS/AS degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Jira Service Management or ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with IT asset management tools like Snipe-IT.
• Some scripting (PowerShell or Bash) experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service while supporting employees across locations.
• Provide day-to-day technical support for Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and mobile devices.
• Support conference room and meeting technology for executive meetings.
• Manage user accounts and access via Active Directory and Azure AD.
• Support endpoint management and security controls for a compliant environment.
• Handle asset lifecycle activities: provisioning, inventory, maintenance, decommissioning.
• Maintain asset records and software licenses in ITSM/asset tools.
• Respond to service requests and incidents, escalating as needed.
• Create and maintain technical docs and knowledge base content.
• Collaborate with infra, network, and security teams for issue resolution.
• Participate in planned maintenance and occasional after-hours/on-call duties.
