Job summary

SDI Presence is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain the Microsoft Windows desktop and notebook computers and peripherals. The Desktop Support Specialist will report to the Operations Manager and team lead and will work closely with other members of the technology department to support all end users.

This on-site role requires strong hardware knowledge, Windows OS deployment, AD familiarity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Basic knowledge of desktop hardware and peripherals.
Experience with Windows OS installation and driver config.
Familiar with Active Directory and security tools.
Knowledge of antivirus and malware removal tools.
A+ certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Respond to IT support requests and document resolutions.
Prioritize tickets and provide detailed updates in the ticketing system.
Resolve end-user issues within SLA timelines.
Perform desktop hardware installs and moves.
Repair hardware and perform basic software configuration such as OS/driver installs.
Manage MDM and security configurations.
Handle cellular accounts and device provisioning.
Provision tablets and laptops for end users.
Support MS Office and O365 applications and other software.
Support browsers (IE, Edge, Chrome, Firefox).
Install and configure printers and basic peripherals.
Troubleshoot end-user problems across devices.
Track assets and document software installations.
Configure basic Windows networking (DHCP vs static).
Collaborate with IT Admin on miscellaneous projects.
