Job summary

SDI Presence LLC in Chicago is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Microsoft Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals in a fast-paced operational environment. This role provides on-site support to end users at Chicago's International Airports (O Hare and Midway), partnering with the IT team to sustain critical business operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of desktop hardware experience, strong knowledge of Windows OS, AD, BitLocker,

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience with desktop hardware and ability to install/replace components.
Experience imaging and deploying OS using Windows Deployment Services or SCCM OSD.
Familiar with BitLocker encryption and Active Directory administration.
Strong knowledge of Windows OS (10/11) and driver configuration.
Experience supporting MS Office 365 and printers across a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

Respond to IT support requests, prioritize and document issues and resolutions.
Manage tickets and provide detailed ticketing system responses.
Troubleshoot end-user hardware/software problems and perform desktop moves.
Install and configure printers and peripheral devices; perform hardware repairs.
Support MS Office, O365 apps, and web browsers; ensure security with antivirus tools.
Monitor and document software installations and asset tracking.
