Job summary

UAB Medicine, Alabama’s largest health system, seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide accurate, timely end-user assistance and remote/onsite problem resolution. You will handle laptops, desktops, printers, and software, ensuring SLA adherence and updates to the ticketing system.

The role requires an Associate's degree in Information Systems or related field and 1 year of related experience, with opportunities for growth within HSIS and a broad network across Alabama facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Information Systems or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required.
• Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Responsibilities

• Resolve end-user incidents, requests and tasks within SLA.
• Configure laptops, desktops, and printers.
• Install, configure and upgrade applications, software and peripherals.
• Move and replace workstations and equipment as needed.
• Provide on-site or remote assistance to users.
• Occasional after-hours support may be required.
• Manage projects to deliver services per objectives.
• Demonstrate motivation to learn new technologies and communicate effectively.
• Work with or without supervision and maintain positive communications.
