Job summary

Atlas Search in New York City is seeking a Desktop Engineer to strengthen its Infrastructure team and end-user computing environment. You will provide high-touch support to business users and guide desktop engineering initiatives.

The role focuses on managing desktop environments, applying imaging, patching, and policy standards, while supporting global users and key enterprise apps. Strong security, scripting, and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of desktop engineering and end-user support experience in finance or regulated environments.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft 365, Intune, SCCM, Group Policy and PowerShell.
• Experience supporting Citrix VDI/XenApp environments.
• Knowledge of desktop security tools and endpoint management best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support enterprise desktop environments including device management, imaging, patching, and Group Policy.
• Provide white-glove desktop support for office-based and remote users across global locations.
• Support and troubleshoot Windows, Microsoft 365, Citrix, Bloomberg, and other business-critical apps.
• Administer endpoint management platforms such as Intune and SCCM.
• Maintain desktop security standards including Defender and endpoint security policies.
• Automate processes and improve efficiency through PowerShell scripting.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams on deployments, upgrades, migrations and testing.
• Participate in on-call rotation for critical business systems.
