Job summary

Stride, Inc. is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage the full payroll process using Workday and OSV, ensuring accuracy across multi-state payroll and tax compliance.

The role requires five years of payroll experience, with three years in Workday, and a strong customer-service mindset. This is a remote role supporting Eastern Time operations with potential overtime on payroll days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma AND five years of payroll experience.
• Three (3) years of Workday payroll experience OR
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to clear required background check
• Familiarity with payroll processes, policies, and best practices.
• Experience using ticketing systems (e.g., Fresh service, Zendesk).
• Proven ability to prioritize and re-prioritize effectively as business needs evolve.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end payroll processing using Workday and OSV.
• Reconcile payroll period to period.
• Calculate and review prorated wages and deductions for hires/terminations.
• Ensure tax and payroll deductions are accurate, including reciprocity rules.
• Maintain payroll records in compliance with SOX.
• Address employee inquiries via ticketing system within SLA (24–48h).
• Stay current on payroll and benefits legislation.
• Manage tax notices with OSV and state registrations.
