Job summary

Helsing GmbH is seeking a hands-on supply chain leader in the United States to own buying end-to-end. You will design supplier strategy, build a sourcing playbook, and set compliance posture while placing and expediting POs.

Expect close work with Production, Systems Engineering, and Logistics, plus a path to building a team as US volume grows. You will manage end-to-end procurement, ensure NDAA/ITAR compliance, and optimize supplier performance in a high-demand defense environment with

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in supply chain, procurement, or planning in hardware manufacturing.
• Proven ownership of POs, supplier commit dates, and shortage resolution.
• Deep knowledge of NDAA, FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, and counterfeit-part avoidance.
• Experience with MRPs and ERP systems to manage demand and purchasing.

Responsibilities

• Own the buy end-to-end: place, expedite, and close POs; manage shortages daily.
• Build supplier base, negotiate terms, and establish second sources.
• Define and implement compliance posture across NDAA, ITAR/EAR, and audits.
• Define purchasing processes, thresholds, and data quality within the ERP.
• Coordinate with Production and Logistics on build plans and inbound freight.
• Support NPI with BOMs, ECOs, and component alternates.
• Grow the function by mentoring future buyers and planners.
