Helsing GmbH seeks its first US-based supply chain leader to design supplier strategy, sourcing playbooks, and a solid compliance posture, then execute purchases. Expect a hands-on, player-coach approach balancing strategic and tactical work in a defense-focused environment.

You will own the buy end-to-end, build the supplier base, and implement NDAA, ITAR/EAR, and DFARS flow-downs. You’ll work with Production, Systems Engineering, and Head of Logistics to ensure on-time material flow and future

Qualifications

• 7–12 years in supply chain, procurement, or planning within hardware manufacturing (semiconductors, aerospace, defense).
• Proven PO ownership and supplier commitment management in the last years.
• Experience negotiating terms, pricing, and supplier qualifications.
• Familiarity with NDAA compliance, ITAR/EAR, and DFARS flow-downs.

Responsabilités

• Own the buy end-to-end: place, expedite, and close POs across production and prototype commodities.
• Build and qualify the supplier base, negotiate terms, and create second sources for critical parts.
• Define and enforce compliance posture—NDAA/NIST, ITAR/EAR, and counterfeit-part avoidance.
• Define purchasing process, thresholds, and data quality within the upcoming ERP rollout.
• Collaborate daily with Production, Systems Engineering, and Head of Logistics to ensure on-time material flow.
• Grow the function: document processes now and mentor future buyers as volume scales.
