Job summary

Nova is seeking an NPI Engineering Tech Lead to drive transition of complex hardware from development to production. You will own build readiness, cross-functional execution, and issue closure, coordinating design engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, suppliers, and service.

You will be hands-on, accountable, and guide multiple programs through ambiguity, managing BOM discipline, ECOs, build plans, DFx reviews, and manufacturing readiness, while mentoring engineers and technicians.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hardware NPI or related engineering roles.
• Ownership of complex projects from prototype to production.
• Strong BOM, configuration control, and ECO experience.
• Proficient in drawings, tolerances, GD&T, and assembly processes.
• Clear technical communication and cross-team driving closure.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into robust manufacturing processes.
• Plan prototype, pilot, and production builds with clear exit criteria.
• Lead DFx reviews and resolve risks before release.
• Maintain BOMs, routings, drawings, and work instructions in PLM/ERP.
• Own NPI action registers and communicate status to teams.
• Mentor engineers and technicians to raise execution standards.
