Job summary

LV Petroleum seeks an HR & Payroll Operations Specialist to own payroll, employment tax, unemployment, garnishments, and employee lifecycle administration for a multistate workforce. Based at corporate headquarters, this role partners with Finance, Operations, and site leadership as the company expands into new states.

The ideal candidate is detail-driven, deadline-driven, and comfortable owning these functions end to end in a fast-paced, acquisition-active environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of hands-on payroll and HR operations experience
• At least 2 years processing multistate payroll and employment-tax filings
• Experience responding to unemployment claims and garnishments

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end payroll processing for hourly, salaried, tipped, and bonus pay
• Maintain employer tax registrations across states and set up new jurisdictions
• Administer unemployment claims, protests, appeals, and hearings
• Handle garnishments and wage orders, including notices and remittances
• Manage onboarding, terminations, I-9 and E-Verify, benefits and payroll enrollment
• Maintain audit-ready, accurate HR and payroll records
