Job summary

American Express Global Business Travel seeks an experienced events professional to plan and deliver corporate programs from kickoff through reconciliation, balancing client demands with budgets and timelines. You will lead onsite execution, manage suppliers and contracts, coordinate attendee housing and communications, and run multiple programs each year while keeping teams aligned.

The role requires four+ years of event planning, strong Cvent skills, and proven budget control up to $500,000

Qualifications

• Four+ years planning corporate meetings and events.
• Onsite lead on ten+ programs per year.
• Independent budget management up to $500,000 with forecasts and reconciliations.
• Knowledge of hotel and supplier contracts incl. attrition and minimums.
• Strong written communication and organization.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver programs end to end with the producer.
• Maintain program plans in client tools with tasks, owners, and dates.
• Manage budgets up to $500k and reconcile.
• Oversee suppliers from contract through final invoices.
• Coordinate attendee housing and communications.
• Lead onsite for programs and run of show.
• Handle multiple programs simultaneously.
• Close programs with invoices, reconciliation, and debrief.
• Maintain planning files and records.
• Raise risks early with recommendations.
