Job summary

Winixx Inc. is hiring a Hardware Enclosure Engineer in Atlanta to own enclosure and mounting system design for fleetOS product lines.

You will take concepts through injection molding tooling qualification, collaborating with industrial designers and engineers to meet IP67 weatherproofing and durability standards. The role requires hands-on experience with enclosure geometry, mold tooling, and durability testing, in a hybrid Atlanta-based environment with production-scale ambitions and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Product Design.
• 2+ years of professional experience designing enclosures or housings for electronic hardware products.
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or equivalent CAD software with surfacing for Class A enclosure geometry.
• Experience with injection molding design, IP rating standards (IP67+), and vibration requirements.
• Experience coordinating tooling development with injection molding vendors; reading tool drawings and mold flow results.
• Understanding of surface finish specs and painting/plating processes for production enclosures.
• Strong communication skills across designers, engineers, manufacturing partners and installation teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete design and development of mechanical enclosures, mounting systems, and installation hardware from concept to production qualification.
• Develop enclosure geometries meeting IP67+ weatherproofing and sealing interfaces.
• Create mounting designs for diverse vehicle types; account for vibration and load requirements.
• Collaborate with industrial designers on CMF specs and production-scale processes.
• Manage injection molding tooling development and review tool designs and mold flow results.
• Conduct durability testing and drive design improvements from findings.
• Develop installation guides and field service documentation.
