Job summary

Pharmavite is hiring an Encapsulation Operator in Alabama to run encapsulation equipment for soft gelatin capsules, ensuring quality and adherence to procedures. You will feed materials, adjust controls with hand tools, monitor process parameters, and perform changeovers between products.

Role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year encapsulation/related experience or 4–6 months training, fluent English, arithmetic skills, and physical ability to handle heavy containers.

Qualifications

• Fluent English to read & understand instructions, maintain records, and communicate issues.
• Accurate arithmetic skills to calculate weights and quantities.
• Manual dexterity to operate controls and assemble/disassemble equipment.
• Physical ability to stand/walk and lift heavy containers during shifts.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Operate encapsulation equipment to produce soft gelatin capsules meeting quality standards.
• Feed materials to encapsulation machinery according to procedures.
• Adjust equipment controls with hand tools as required.
• Monitor ribbon thickness, temperature, and weight/size of capsules.
• Troubleshoot problems and perform efficient changeovers between products.
• Disassemble/assemble equipment and clean per procedures; prepare for next batch.
• Maintain logs and records; enter data into computer.
• Comply with safety rules, SOPs, and GMPs.
