Qualifications

• Accurate arithmetic to calculate weights and fill times.
• Manual dexterity to disassemble/assemble equipment with hand tools.
• Physical ability to stand/walk for long shifts and lift heavy containers.
• Mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot and fix equipment malfunctions.

Responsibilities

• Ensures materials are correct and fed to encapsulation machinery according to procedures.
• Uses hand tools to adjust equipment controls and parts.
• Monitors production: ribbon thickness, temperature, weight, and size to spec.
• Troubleshoots equipment/process problems promptly.
• Performs changeovers and cleanings between batches; handles tooling/setups.
• Scoops capsules, lays in single layer, and stacks for drying; records stack cards.
• Lifts containers and transports within department as needed.
• Maintains logs and uses computer for data entry.
• Adheres to safety SOPs and GMPs; performs other duties as assigned.
