Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Current Virginia EMT Certification and/or National Registry.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire.
• One year EMT, military corpsman or clinical-related experience preferred.
• AHA ACLS, PALS certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Provide assistance to nurses and medical staff by performing designated patient care procedures.
• Perform phlebotomy, venipuncture, and specimen collection with proper labeling and transport.
• Set up sterile trays for suturing and sterile procedures; insert Foley catheters when appropriate.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork with patients, families, and a multi-disciplinary team.
• Maintain infection control and participate in performance improvement and regulatory readiness.
• Operate hospital information systems for clerical tasks and coordinate physician/dept consultations.
