Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a clinical support professional to assist nurses and medical staff, perform phlebotomy and venipuncture, and maintain accurate documentation. You will help ensure safe, high‑quality care within the Care Center, supporting physicians, patients and families.

The role requires EMT certification, BLS CPR, and a willingness to work flexible hours and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to meet regulatory and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Current Virginia EMT Certification and/or National Registry is required.
• AHA BLS Provider CPR is required at hire.
• ACLS/PALS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support to nurses and staff.
• Assist with patient data collection, specimens, and designated procedures.
• Participate in infection control and quality improvement activities.
• Document communications and coordinate with care teams.
• Assist with regulatory readiness and equipment/supply needs.
• Perform venipuncture, start IVs and basic phlebotomy duties.
