Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Bismarck, ND. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, and review test results under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

The role requires EMT-Paramedic licensure, CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical setting, with FDA training provided. This is a part-time position with Takeda as the parent company supporting BioLife operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including nursing program.
• Currently licensed or certified as EMT-Paramedic where responsibilities will be assigned.
• CPR and AED certification current.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, education, medical history, and acceptance.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and advise on occupational health/EHS guidance.
• Potentially serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS.
