BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, seeks a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) in Bismarck, ND. You determine donor eligibility, handle adverse events, review lab results, and notify donors of unsuitable results under physician guidance.

You will support vaccination programs, incident reporting, and center safety protocols. Requires LPN/LVN license, CPR/AED, and 2 years clinical experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: LPN or LVN
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
• Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy
• Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsabilités

• Determine donor eligibility; consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview and acceptance requirements, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reaction(s) per SOPs and manage medical emergencies including standing orders and donor transport to care facilities.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance on medical/technical issues and donor safety.
• Support vaccination programs for employees and coordinate with EHS on incidents and investigations.
