Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks a Medical Support Specialist EMT-P to oversee donor eligibility and safety in a plasma center setting. You will review donor histories, perform physicals, and coordinate with the Center Physician on medical issues.

You will manage donor reactions, ensure adherence to SOPs, and support vaccination programs while coordinating with EHS for employee safety and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with state nursing program requirements.
• State licensure/certification in EMT/PN/RN as applicable.
• Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including consent, AIDS education and self-exclusion, and donor history.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate with EHS for investigations.
