Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services seeks Medical Support Specialist in Henderson, NV. You will determine donor eligibility, review labs, and support donor safety in a fast-paced plasma collection center.

Under Center Manager guidance, you’ll handle adverse events, medical issues, and vaccination programs while ensuring compliance with EHS and Medical Affairs guidance. Biology and nursing credentials are required.

Qualifications

• EMT licensure in relevant state (EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P) or RN/LPN/LVN.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Familiar with plasma collection regulations and BioLife policies.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility incl. informed consent, AIDS education, self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and manage emergencies per standing orders.
• Refer to Center Physician/Medical Affairs for guidance on medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance; escalate as needed.
• Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS/Medical Affairs.
