Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services in Henderson, NV is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to support plasma center operations. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review test results, and notify donors of unsuitable results, under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

You will be familiar with plasma collection regulations, participate in safety programs, and help with environmental health and safety.

Qualifications

Licensed/certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P, LPN/LVN, or RN
CPR and AED certification required
FDA training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
Two years in a clinical or hospital setting

Responsibilities

Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination and SPE review
Evaluate donor reactions and medical emergencies per SOPs and center guidance
Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings or medical/technical issues
Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
Manage employee incidents with EHS guidance and escalate as needed
Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations
