Job summary

Penn State Health Life Lion LLC is seeking skilled EMTs to provide emergency response and patient care in accordance with PA DOH standards. Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, transporting patients, and assisting paramedics.

The ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and be eligible for Pennsylvania EMT certification. The role offers generous benefits including medical, dental, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic life support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Program CPR/AED certified required.
• Eligibility for Pennsylvania EMT certification required.
• Valid Driver’s license required and eligible to operate an EMS vehicle in PA.
• Completion of approved Emergency Vehicle Operations Training program required.
• PA DOH EMSVO eligibility required.
• Hazmat Awareness Training must be obtained within 30 days of start.
• NIMS (100, 200, 700, 800) required within 30 days of start.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies and assess patients.
• Provide treatment according to PA DOH Basic Life Support standards.
• Transport patients according to established protocols.
• Assist Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) providers with patient care management.
• Perform non-emergency routine medical transports and follow up with documentation.
