Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking Emergency Medical Technicians to join the EMS team. The role involves responding to emergencies, providing basic life support, transporting patients, and keeping accurate documentation while ensuring equipment readiness across EMS units.

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and PA EMT licensure; preferred candidates have 6 months in prehospital care and ITLS/PHTLS, ABLS, ASLS.)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• PA EMT license or EMS Compact Privilege to Practice in Pennsylvania at the EMT level.

Responsibilities

• Drives emergency vehicle and responds to calls.
• Determines nature and extent of illness or injury; provides basic life support and transport.
• Completes required documentation according to regulatory standards.
• Maintains equipment and inventory, including BLS/ALS supplies and medications.
