Penn State Health in Mechanicsburg, PA is hiring an Advanced EMT for emergency response and patient transport. You will respond to emergencies, assess patients, provide treatment per PA DOH standards, and assist with ALS providers. Full-time with 12-hour shifts and night differential; sign-on bonus offered.

Requirements include BLS, PA Advanced EMT license, PA driver’s license, EMSVO within 30 days, HazMat/NIMS, and Medical Command within 90 days. Six months EMT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Advanced EMT certification in PA or reciprocity eligible.
• AHA BLS within six months of hire.
• Valid PA driver's license or reciprocal eligibility.
• PA DOH EMSVO certification within 30 days of start date.
• HazMat Awareness Training and NIMS (100,200,700,800) within 30 days of start date.
• Must obtain Medical Command within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies; assess patients and provide treatment per PA DOH curriculum.
• Transport patients per established protocols; assist ALS providers with care management.
• Perform non-emergency routine medical transports; complete documentation.
