Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services, a Takeda subsidiary, is seeking an Medical Support Specialist with EMT credentials to support donor safety and plasma collection operations in Chattanooga, TN. You will determine eligibility, review test results, manage donor events, and work under the Center Manager and Center Physician guidance.

Role requires clinical experience, CPR/AED, and state licensure, with benefits including medical/dental coverage, PTO, retirement plans, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified in the responsible state: EMT-B/EMT-A/EMT-I/EMT-P or RN/LPN/LVN as applicable.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, informed consent, risk education, and acceptance requirements.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage medical emergencies per SOPs.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for abnormal findings or guidance.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage incidents and coordinate with occupational health/ER and EHS.
