Job summary

BioLife Plasma Services is seeking an EMT-certified Medical Support Specialist to work in Loveland, CO. You will determine donor eligibility, manage donor safety, review lab results, and communicate test outcomes under physician guidance.

The role requires multiple EMT certifications (EMT-B/A/I/P), CPR/AED, and at least two years in a clinical or hospital setting, with state licensure in responsible duties. A strong emphasis on safety and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold EMT license in the state of responsibilities.
• Licensed or certified in the state with LPN/LVN or RN credentials.
• CPR and AED certification required.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, AIDS education, confidential self-exclusion, medical history interview, physical exam, blood testing, and SPE review.
• Evaluate donor reactions and manage emergencies per SOPs, including center physician standing orders and donor transport.
• Refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on medical/technical issues and donor safety.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees as applicable.
• Manage employee incidents and seek EHS guidance for resolution.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations.
